Privacy Policy — MMBC Metrics

MMBC Metrics is a workout-tracking app for members of the Moore Muscle Barbell Club. It is built around a simple principle: your training data belongs to you and stays on your device.
What the app stores, and where
- On your device only: your workout sessions, sets, weights, personal records, exercise history, body weight, unit preferences, notes, and settings. This data never leaves your phone unless you export it yourself.
- No account required. The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We cannot see your training data.
What touches the internet
- Training programs ("phases"): when you scan a coach's QR code, the app downloads the workout prescription from our database and periodically re-checks it for coach updates. These requests carry the program's share code — not your identity or your results.
- Exercise catalog: the app downloads shared exercise information (demo videos, bar weights, coach notes) maintained by club coaches.
- App updates: the app checks for over-the-air updates through Expo's update service (Expo privacy policy). Standard technical information (such as app version and platform) is used to deliver the correct update.
Program and catalog data is hosted on Supabase in the United States. These requests, like all internet traffic, include your IP address in transient server logs.
What we don't do
- No analytics or behavioral tracking
- No advertising and no ad identifiers
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data — we don't hold any
- No access to your contacts, location, photos, or microphone. The camera is used only while you scan a program QR code, and images are never stored or transmitted.
Backups and exports
You can export a backup file of your data from Settings at any time. The file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it. Restoring a backup reads that file back into the app. We never receive a copy.
Data retention and deletion
Because your training data lives only on your device, deleting the app (or using Reset App Data in Settings) permanently removes it. Programs published by coaches remain in the shared database until the coach deletes them; they contain workout prescriptions, not member data.
Children
MMBC Metrics is intended for adult members of a barbell club and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
